SPA25 Prisma represents an innovative audio/video integrated amplifier from Primare , an exclusive product that satisfies both music lovers and cinephiles. With two eight-channel DAC chips, the Saber ESS9026 PRO, one of which is dedicated to stereophony with four channels of front conversion in parallel, the system guarantees optimal performance.
SPA25 Prisma features an adaptive power supply stage and modular power amp sections using Hypex UCD250LP modules . This configuration allows the amplifier to deliver 145 watts into 8 ohms and 250 watts into 4 ohms into 9 channels . Furthermore, thanks to the bi-amplification function, it is possible to reach a power of 290 watts into 8 ohms and 405 watts into 4 ohms in stereo mode .

The philosophy behind the SPA25 Prisma with regards to DACs and power amp sections makes a lot of sense. Excessive conversion is not necessary for surround channels, but is recommended for L&R channels . It is equally important to have dynamic energy with configurable amplifiers, which allow you to customize the 9 power sections to the maximum and to deliver energy only where it is really needed. It is unlikely that all connected channels (if any) will play loud at the same time, so this configuration maximizes system efficiency.
Film enthusiasts can rest easy with the SPA25 Prisma , as it also offers outstanding performance in the film arena. The system can be configured up to 7.1.4 channels , supports 4K HDR compatibility, eARC and audio format decoding such as Atmos/DTS X. In addition, it has the Dirac Live system for environmental calibration.
The decision to limit the maximum supported resolution to 4K was deliberate by Primare .
In almost all cases, the SPA25 will be connected via eARC to a TV via HDMI connection, eliminating the need to handle video signals. This is the most reasonable and sensible choice. Therefore, the implementation of 8K was considered as a superfluous detail rather than an essential requirement. Primare 's philosophy is to get the best possible performance, even if that means giving up features that might be of interest from a marketing perspective.
