Six hundred watts and two chassis for one channel
Nu-Vista PAM is a mono amplifier sold individually: stereo requires two complete PAM units and therefore four chassis.
Nu-Vista PAM amplifies one channel and is sold as one unit; stereo needs two, one for the left loudspeaker and one for the right. Each PAM already consists of a mono amplifier and separate supply, so a stereo pair occupies four chassis. Rated output is 600 W into 8 ohms, 1,000 W into 4 and 1,500 W into 2. Four Nuvistors handle the balanced input, while five transistor pairs provide current to one loudspeaker.

One channel with no shared resources
Transformer, capacitance and cooling belong to one loudspeaker. A peak on the left cannot draw from the right because it lives in another PAM. This separation is the technical reason for the architecture rather than output alone.
Four chassis change the room
A pair weighs roughly 134 kg across amplifiers and supplies. Four strong shelves, outlets and ventilation are needed, or placement near the speakers with long XLR cables. Nu-Vista Ultra Rack can organise the system, but dimensions and loading require checking.
PRE as controller
Nu-Vista PRE sends two channels and coordinates power through triggers. Every amplifier receives its own signal and drives one loudspeaker; PAM units are not combined on the same load. Volume is controlled only by the preamplifier.
When PAS is more rational
PAS offers 300 W per channel with two chassis total and costs less than stereo formed by two PAMs. It already has immense reserve for most speakers. PAM is justified by extreme loads, a large room or deliberate monoblock design.
Power does not forgive mistakes
1,500 W into 2 ohms can damage drivers or wiring within moments. Polarity, terminals, preamplifier noise and minimum level require checking first. Headroom should prevent clipping on peaks, not become a volume target. The stated price covers one monoblock with its supply. A stereo quotation therefore doubles amplifiers, signal cables, triggers, outlets and space; overlooking this point changes both total cost and installation. For Nu-Vista PAM, dimensions, weight, ventilation, connections and system capacity should be checked as one project, leaving operating margin instead of using every specification at its limit. A trial in the actual chain remains more useful than conclusions drawn from one technical figure.
