Canor Virtus S1S

Class AB solid-state stereo power amplifier with 2 × 250 W into 8 ohms, in a dual mono build.

Virtus S1S: the design

The Virtus S1S is dual mono from its two toroidal transformers onwards, with J-FET transistors in the input stage. Heat is carried away by a copper bar of 350 mm² cross-section and a 10 mm aluminium panel separates the power supply from the signal. It has double speaker terminals.

Canor is a Slovak manufacturer based in Prešov. Many of its components share the proprietary CMT technology for the circuit boards and a solid aluminium chassis designed to stop vibration.
