Compact disc remains central
CD60 is a dedicated player for CD and CD-R/RW, with front USB-A for files. It includes neither HEOS nor HDMI, working as a physical source in a system where network and television already have solutions. Its modern fascia pairs naturally with MODEL 50.
A considered analogue output
The internal DAC and HDAM-SA2 modules carry the signal to the RCA outputs. A digital output can feed an external converter, although this bypasses the analogue stage that distinguishes the player. The choice depends on the quality and character of the DAC already owned.
USB for a portable library
The front socket reads files from USB storage, including compatible high-resolution formats. It does not replace a network server or provide HEOS convenience; instead, it serves albums held locally and direct listening without a computer.
Headphones without the full system
The headphone output has dedicated level control and three gain settings. It enables private listening through the player mechanism and DAC, avoiding a separate amplifier for compatible headphones. Choose CD 50n when streaming and television belong in the plan.
