Two 746-watt monoblocks form the power stage of the Statement system
Naim Statement NAP S1 is the pair of monoblock power amplifiers for NAC S1, delivering 746 W into 8 ohms per channel, 1450 W into 4 ohms and using 4000 VA transformers.
The pair of Naim Statement NAP S1 amplifiers contains two fully independent units, one for the left channel and one for the right. Each chassis vertically separates voltage stage, current stage and power supply, with the transformer positioned in the base and the most sensitive circuitry placed in the upper section.

Why two monoblocks instead of one stereo amplifier
Each NAP S1 drives one loudspeaker and carries its own power supply, transformer and signal path. The two channels therefore share neither supply nor amplifier circuitry, allowing power delivery and thermal management to be engineered around one output while keeping the physical installation symmetrical on both sides of the system.
Statement or NAP 500 DR
NAP 500 DR is a 140 W-per-channel stereo power amplifier with a separate 500 PS supply; NAP S1 instead places every channel in its own chassis and substantially raises available power. The 500 Series uses a two-box architecture for the complete stereo amplifier, while Statement uses two independent towers conceived as the direct power partners for NAC S1.
Connection to NAC S1
The Statement preamplifier provides the XLR output required by the monoblocks, creating a dedicated route between control and power amplification. No separate external supply is required: each NAP S1 houses its transformer and regulators in the base, leaving audio stages and thermal management to the upper section.
Sold as a functional stereo pair
The two NAP S1 units are supplied together because stereo operation requires one amplifier per channel. In the complete system the pair works from a single NAC S1, while the monoblock layout keeps cable routing straightforward: one XLR input and one loudspeaker connection on each side, with no signal path shared between channels. Each unit also retains its own thermal and mechanical path, consistent with the vertical architecture shared across the Statement family.
