The Barco Njord Cinemascope is a high-end home cinema projector designed for dedicated theaters that require a native 21:9 aspect ratio without compromise. Based on a 3-chip DLP® architecture with 5K UHD 5120 × 2160 resolution, it uses a highly efficient pure laser RGB light source to ensure high brightness, color stability and absolute fidelity to the original content. The three 0.9” DMDs ensure perfect image uniformity and the absence of artifacts typical of single-chip systems. Thanks to the platform derived from professional digital cinema, it offers authentic cinematic rendering with extended coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and support for HDR10 / HLG content.

High brightness and advanced dynamic contrast

The RGB laser source guarantees a brightness of up to approximately 10,000 lumens , ideal for large Cinemascope screens. The Dynamic Laser Dimming system optimizes contrast scene by scene, enhancing image depth and three-dimensionality. Proprietary video processing allows for advanced HDR tone mapping , 12-bit color precision, and high-performance scaling.
