The single WiiM Amp removes the need for a separate streamer and amplifier: it drives a pair of passive speakers directly while bringing together online music, television sound and external sources. Output rises to 120 W per channel into 4 ohms, with a TI TPA3255 handling amplification.

Why choose Amp over a separate streamer
Mini, Pro, Pro Plus and Ultra all need downstream amplification; Amp includes the power stage itself. HDMI ARC also brings a television into the stereo system, and the subwoofer connection allows a 2.1 setup without adding a separate processor.
Amp or Amp Pro
Both amplifiers share the same rated output but follow different priorities. Amp retains AirPlay 2 and HomePod grouping, whereas Amp Pro adds PFFB, an ESS ES9038Q2M DAC, tri-band Wi-Fi 6 upgradeable to 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for systems that favour the newer audio and wireless platform.
