Pro-Ject Record Puck Classic Brass Transparent

Record Puck Classic Brass Transparent is a heavy 800 g brass record weight: placed over the spindle, it keeps the vinyl pressed firmly against the platter surface during play.

Record Puck Classic Brass Transparent: what it does

A record weight works by mass alone, with no clamping action: it holds disc and platter together, cuts down unwanted vibration and helps slightly warped records play better. According to Pro-Ject the gain is heard in timing and in the depth of the sound.

It is 78 mm in diameter and 26 mm tall. Given the mass, Pro-Ject recommends weights of this kind for turntables in the RPM, Signature and Xtension series; for smaller models it points to its own Clamp it record clamp as the alternative that reaches the same effect another way.
