Integrated amplification, loudspeaker control and sources in a single chassis
Rotel A-12 MKII is a Class AB integrated amplifier rated at 60 W per channel into 8 ohms and 120 W per channel into 4 ohms, designed to combine preamplification and power amplification in a complete stereo chain.
The output section is powered by an oversized toroidal transformer and operates through a direct analogue signal path. A premium 32-bit/384 kHz Texas Instruments DAC handles digital sources, while four RCA analogue inputs ensure compatibility with traditional components. Tone controls and A/B loudspeaker outputs keep a conventional stereo system flexible.

Power and control
A-12 MKII delivers 60 W per channel into 8 ohms and 120 W per channel into 4 ohms, with declared THD below 0.018%. A damping factor of 220 complements its current capability and helps maintain woofer control, particularly as loudspeaker load varies with frequency.
Power supply
An oversized toroidal transformer powers the amplifier. The transformer and filter capacity support the output section during transients and keep the supply voltage stable, so dynamic performance does not rely solely on the declared nominal power.
Conversion and digital inputs
A premium 32-bit/384 kHz Texas Instruments DAC works with PC-USB and four digital inputs. Digital sources can therefore connect directly to the integrated amplifier and use its internal conversion, reducing the number of separate components in the chain.
Analogue inputs
Four RCA analogue inputs are provided. Line-level sources enter the preamplifier without conversion and share the same volume control, allowing a system to be built around players, tuners, external DACs and other analogue components.
Vinyl
An MM phono stage is included. A compatible turntable can therefore be connected directly without adding an external phono preamplifier, keeping vinyl within the same control system.
Connectivity and everyday use
Bluetooth aptX and Roon Tested certification complement the wired sources. Tone controls and A/B loudspeaker outputs keep a conventional stereo system flexible, allowing the amplifier to adapt to a modern setup without altering the analogue signal path when these functions are not required.
Chassis and dimensions
The chassis measures 430 x 93 x 345 mm and weighs 8.76 kg. Transformer, heatsinks and circuit boards are arranged to keep sensitive sections away from the main sources of noise and heat, providing a stable mechanical base for the power section.
