The dedicated 1U amplifier for the IW28S in-wall subwoofer
MK Sound VA500 is a Class D amplifier rated at 500 W continuous / 800 W peak into 4 ohms, designed to drive the passive IW28S subwoofer.
The separate chassis allows the subwoofer to remain completely inside the wall while power, controls and connections stay in the equipment rack. The unit is 1U high and supports 19-inch rack mounting or free-standing placement.

Function
A dynamic headroom-control circuit monitors the signal to prevent audible clipping without unnecessarily restricting dynamics. The 60-200 Hz variable crossover and continuous 0-180-degree phase allow IW28S to be matched to the main speakers.
Installation and compatibility
VA500 measures 429 x 44.4 x 224 mm, or 483 mm wide in rack configuration, and weighs 4 kg. 100-240 V operation, automatic power control and five-way binding posts simplify integration in a custom system.
