With the introduction of the Linear in 2004, Lehmannaudio took the sound quality of headphone amplifiers to a new level. Drachenfels represents a new generation of headphone amplifiers: entry-level with state-of-the-art technology and, thanks to its modular construction, can always be upgraded with new functions. As for the sound, its extraordinary wealth of detail, combined with perfect control of the acoustic scene, is particularly striking. Even in the most difficult passages the sound image remains stable and pervaded by details.

The modular design, created using state-of-the-art components, opens up new perspectives for quality music lovers who also need sustainability. Streaming via WLAN or ethernet, Bluetooth, digital or modular cards for PCs will be available shortly, so that Drachenfels is the right solution for different needs. Even with the advent of new digital standards, a simple swap of the modules and the rear panel will be enough to enable the upgrade!
Drachenfels has a gain of 12dB, thanks to the excellent ALPS Blue Velvet potentiometer, with its very low noise and excellent synchronism, making the classic gain switch present on other products useless. In stand-by mode, the power consumption is less than 1W. Furthermore, its small size makes it easier to position it in the room.
