The AudioQuest FireBird Constant-Current power cable is designed for components with constant power demands such as DACs , streamers , preamplifiers , and digital players. It features Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors, ZERO-Tech® technology, RF/ND-Tech® noise reduction, and DBS 72V dielectric biasing. The Constant-Current geometry is optimized for continuous electrical stability, reducing micro-fluctuations and interference that can impact signal accuracy.
The result is a cleaner reproduction, with greater transparency, micro-detail and focus of the soundstage.
ZERO-Tech architecture and interference control
ZERO-Tech technology eliminates the cable's characteristic impedance, preventing current compression and improving power supply linearity. The RF/ND-Tech system effectively dissipates RF noise along the ground path, reducing electrical pollution from the mains. The DBS 72V bias circuit maintains a stable dielectric, contributing to a more consistent and natural response over time.
High-current terminations with silver plating over red copper and beryllium copper ensure optimal conductivity and stable contact.
Construction optimized for energy continuity
The 11 AWG line and neutral wire and 12 AWG ground wire ensure adequate energy transfer even in complex systems. The solid Perfect-Surface Silver (PSS) RF drain metal improves the dissipation of spurious high frequencies. The red-on-black nylon braided outer jacket identifies the Constant-Current version within the FireBird series.
