More driver area with twin 6.5" woofers
The Signature Elite ES55 pair serves stereo and cinema systems.
The Polk Audio Signature Elite ES55 pair increases woofer diameter over the ES50 without moving to the three drivers of the ES60. Each tower uses two 6.5" mica-reinforced polypropylene Dynamic Balance woofers and a 1" Terylene dome tweeter. It suits a floorstanding stereo front stage or the main channels of a cinema system.
Each cabinet measures 21.6 x 105.4 x 31.8 cm; its base is 29.7 cm wide. At about 20 kg per speaker, it needs stable support, and it is sensible to plan the cable route before positioning the towers. Dual gold-plated five-way terminals permit ordinary single-cable wiring with jumpers or suitable alternative amplifier arrangements.

The middle size of tower
The ES50 is shorter with 5.25" woofers; the ES60 keeps the 6.5" diameter but adds a third driver and a taller cabinet. The ES55 states a 33 Hz-40 kHz overall response and uses Power Port to manage bass reflex airflow. These figures help choose the scale of the front stage, alongside the actual room layout.
This passive tower needs a stereo amplifier or AV receiver. An ES30 or ES35 centre completes a multichannel front stage; a subwoofer adds a dedicated LFE channel if required. Its Hi-Res Audio-certified Terylene tweeter and Dynamic Balance driver design belong to this specific series.
Its deeper cabinet than the ES50 needs room without blocking circulation or furniture. Measure the spacing between towers as well as the distance to the main seat before deciding on their position.
