Twin woofers and professional tweeter for a precise THX Select2 front stage
MK Sound LCR950 is a 950 Series loudspeaker with twin 5.25-inch woofers, a professional 1-inch tweeter, 90 dB sensitivity and 80 Hz-20 kHz response.
MK Sound LCR950 belongs to the 950 Series and is designed for LCR front-channel duties in THX Select2 systems. It shares driver and crossover design principles with MK Sound professional monitors. The professional tweeter is derived from MK Sound studio monitors and is engineered for high power handling with low dynamic compression, keeping the top end open at sustained levels.

Acoustic design
Twin 5.25-inch polypropylene woofers work with a 1-inch soft-dome tweeter developed for high output and low compression. Response is 80 Hz-20 kHz with 90 dB sensitivity. All 950 models share 5.25-inch polypropylene woofers and Phase-Focused Crossover technology, allowing a complete system to maintain the same voice across front and surround channels.
Role in the system
The LCR configuration allows the same model to be used left, centre or right for a coherent front stage. The 950 THX Select2 range is designed for flat on-axis response, wide horizontal dispersion and even coverage; its curved magnetic metal grille is engineered to remain acoustically inert.
Crossover and timbre matching
The Phase-Focused Crossover integrates woofer and tweeter using frequency, time-domain and dispersion behaviour. Tuning maintains consistency between LCR950 and MP950.
Installation and dimensions
The cabinet measures 40.6 x 17.5 x 18.8 cm and weighs 6.9 kg; it can be used on a stand or in dedicated structures.
Construction and finishes
Sealed enclosure and magnetic grille in Black Satin. The 950 Series is designed to work as an integrated system with an MK Sound subwoofer, keeping the front stage compact without asking the satellites to reproduce the deepest bass. The design is intended to work as part of a matched 950 Series system with an MK Sound subwoofer.
