The KIN Play formula reduced in size, but not in source flexibility
Totem Kin Play Mini is a compact active pair with 2 x 70 W RMS, a 4-inch woofer, alloy tweeter and connectivity for Bluetooth, turntable and digital sources.
Its feature set closely follows the larger KIN Play but in smaller, lighter cabinets. It retains phono/line RCA, optical up to 24-bit/192 kHz, mini-jack and subwoofer output, forming a complete system for desks, bedrooms and smaller living spaces.
Key features
- Integrated amplification rated at 2 x 70 W RMS.
- 4-inch Natural Hybrid woofer.
- 1-inch alloy-dome high-frequency unit.
- Specified frequency response of 59 Hz-22 kHz ±3 dB.
- Bluetooth streaming with aptX HD support.
- Switchable phono/line RCA input.
- Optical input up to 24-bit/192 kHz plus mini-jack.
- RCA sub output for low-frequency extension.
Smaller than KIN Play
The woofer reduces from 5 to 4 inches and amplifier power from 120 to 70 W per channel, with correspondingly less low-frequency extension. In return, the enclosure is significantly smaller and lighter, making it easier to position correctly on furniture, stands or a desktop.
Turntable, computer and television
The RCA input can accept an MM turntable directly or operate at line level. Optical suits televisions and digital sources, while Bluetooth covers everyday playback from mobile devices. Bass and treble control from the remote also helps adapt the response to near-wall placement.
Where Mini makes the most sense
It is intended for small and medium rooms, desktop use and secondary systems where footprint and simplicity matter more than maximum output. An external subwoofer can extend the system substantially while keeping the main speakers very compact. The pair is also light enough to reposition easily, useful when the system must share space with desks, shelving or low furniture and placement changes are part of everyday use. The difference from standard KIN Play is therefore not source flexibility but mainly cabinet volume, amplifier power and the ability to energise larger spaces.
