Motorised outdoor ceiling mechanism that hinges and swivels a TV, with a drop-down panel
CHRS-MO-DDP is the Future Automation range of ceiling TV mechanisms built for outdoor use and fitted with a drop down panel: the screen folds down, turns to the right or to the left, and the opening left behind is closed off. It is aimed at anyone who wants a concealed television between 40" and 88" in an outdoor setting. The product is also suitable for use in marine environments.
While the screen folds down, the drop-down panel descends until it fills the gap and restores a surface level with the ceiling. The hinge travels through as much as 90° and the swivel that follows reaches 180° in either direction. The mechanism is engineered for outdoor installation, with seals around the perimeter and marine locks that hold it shut whenever it is not being used. A ceiling panel can be fixed underneath, so that the closed unit takes on the same finish as the ceiling around it.
Key features

- Controlled via IR, RS232 or contact closure
- External control box rated IP66, wired on a 3 m loom
- White painted finish in RAL9910, with custom finishes available
- Self-adjusting limit switches for the closed position, which shorten set-up
- Both a mechanical and an electrical recovery system included
Available sizes
With screens no deeper than 70 mm, the largest screen accepted (width x height) is 1130 x 680 mm for CHRS4-MO-DDP, 1330 x 800 mm for CHRS5-MO-DDP, 1530 x 920 mm for CHRS6-MO-DDP, 1730 x 970 mm for CHRS7-MO-DDP and 1980 x 1090 mm for CHRS8-MO-DDP; with deeper screens the height limit drops by 30 mm and the depth can reach 85 mm on the first three sizes and 120 mm on the two largest. The load limit is 45 kg, 35 kg, 90 kg, 150 kg and 140 kg respectively, a figure that also covers the added ceiling panel and the swivel back tray. In the same order, the five sizes are listed for 50", 58", 65", 78" and 88" screens.
Installation
Each unit arrives assembled as one piece and ready for fitting, which lowers the risk of mistakes on site and makes the job faster. Should the third-party control system run into trouble, the mechanism can still be reached safely through the mechanical or the electrical recovery system supplied as standard. The range is rated for indoor and outdoor environments.
