This is the RPM 10 Carbon belt-drive turntable in the version complete with an Ortofon Cadenza Red cartridge on its 10 inch Evo carbon arm. 10.4 kg platter, outboard motor and Ground it Carbon base included.
RPM 10 Carbon Cadenza Red: arm, cartridge and mechanics
This configuration adds the Ortofon Cadenza Red cartridge to the deck, so the whole thing is ready to connect to a phono stage. It is mounted on the 10 inch Evo arm: tapered carbon fibre tube, inverted bearings, flexible high-grade copper wiring inside and an effective length of 254 mm. Connection is by the five-pin Connect it CC lead with RCA plugs; an XLR variant exists on request.
The mechanics are those of a high-mass turntable. The chassis, 22 kg with platter and arm, is a sandwich of MDF and resin-coated steel pellets, CNC worked, heat treated and surfaced in carbon. It rests on the 14.5 kg Ground it Carbon base through feet holding two magnets apiece, which let it very nearly float and separate it from the surface beneath.
The platter weighs 10.4 kg: polished aluminium, TPE inside as damping, vinyl on the surface. It rotates on an inverted ceramic bearing, with stable speed and minimal mechanical noise. Driving it is a motor in a unit of its own, also very heavy, with precision control and 33/45 rpm switching built in. The box also contains a record puck, a 45 rpm adapter and a spirit level.
