Ultra-low noise power supply with active noise cancellation
The iFi Audio iPower X is an ultra-low noise power supply for DACs, amplifiers, routers and other audio and digital devices, to be used in place of the stock adapter. Active noise cancellation works on low and mid frequencies, passive filters on the higher ones: the stated noise floor is about 1 µV.
Compared with the original iPower, input capacitance is 50% larger (47 µF instead of 33 µF) and output capacitance 150% larger, with 20% more power. Leakage capacitance is 100 pF, about twenty times lower than the 2,200 pF of a normal switching power supply.
5 V, 9 V and 12 V versions with barrel plug adapters
It is available in 5 V/3 A, 9 V/2.5 A and 12 V/2 A versions: choose the one matching the voltage the device requires. The input accepts 100 to 240 V; the barrel plug is 5.5 x 2.1 mm, with 3.5 x 1.35, 4.0 x 1.7, 4.8 x 1.7 and 5.5 x 2.5 mm adapters and a reverse polarity one.
The cream-coloured body has a logo backlit by a cyan LED that shows when it is on. It measures 95 x 50 x 43 mm and weighs 135 g.
