JBL L82 Classic MK2: 2-way stand-mount loudspeakers with 200 mm woofer
The L82 Classic MK2 is a two-way stand-mount loudspeaker from the JBL Classic series and the successor to the earlier model. Both the woofer and the tweeter have been updated to raise sound quality, and the crossover has been redesigned to permit bi-wiring and bi-amping through a terminal cup with two sets of gold-plated contacts. Sold as a pair, with the two loudspeakers mirror-imaged: the weight given below refers to one loudspeaker.
The 200 mm JW200PW2-6 woofer has a cast frame and a white Pure Pulp cone; the JT025Ti2-4 tweeter is a 25 mm titanium dome working with an acoustic lens and a waveguide. The enclosure is bass-reflex loaded, and an attenuator lets the listener adjust the level of the high frequencies. The look is the retro one of the series, with a walnut-veneered cabinet and a Quadrex foam grille.
