Game-changing bass
JL Audio E-Sub e110 is a sealed powered subwoofer with a 10-inch driver and a 1200 W RMS (short-term) switching amplifier, offered in Black Ash and Gloss Black finishes.
The E-Sub range is about sound quality, power and flexibility of use: from a full home theater to a two-channel stereo system, down to a desktop audio workstation. The cabinet is compact and sealed, signal processing is of studio grade and the stated frequency response runs from 25 to 116 Hz, within ±1.5 dB in anechoic conditions.

Very long excursion driver
The deep mounting of the E-Sub driver leaves wide gaps between the three elements of its suspension. The result is high mechanical stability across the whole travel of the cone, with better linearity, less distortion and greater reliability over time. The driver comes from JL Audio's DMA modelling of motor, suspension and cone, and uses a lead-wire arrangement designed to stay quiet even at the widest excursions.
Switching amplifier
To drive the woofer JL Audio designed an amplifier from scratch, with a switching supply that is regulated: the chassis is smaller, lighter and more efficient, while the power delivered remains plentiful and clean. Power-on can be manual or automatic, triggered when a signal is sensed.
Two-way crossover and adjustments
The integrated two-way crossover offers a high-pass output for the satellite amplifier, so the subwoofer slots easily into a two-channel system; the RCA line outputs can also work as a pass-through. The low-pass has a 24 dB/octave slope, level runs from complete mute up to +15 dB above reference gain, and phase and polarity are adjustable. Inputs are RCA line or high-level, using the plug supplied.
