JL Audio M6-650X Luxe: 6.5-inch marine coaxial speakers with Luxe grille
The M6-650X Luxe pairs the 6.5-inch coaxial from the JL Audio M6 series with the Luxe grille, low in profile and larger in diameter. The long-excursion woofer works with a 20 mm silk dome tweeter, and continuous power handling is 75 W RMS into 4 ohms.
The Luxe grille comes in two finishes: Gloss White and Satin Black. The price is for a pair.

Woofer and tweeter
The woofer is optimised with DMA, the proprietary JL Audio technology that acts on the motor, the suspension and the cone profile to lower distortion and deliver clean, well controlled bass. The silk tweeter is matched to the diameter of this woofer: it brings out high-frequency detail and keeps a good response off axis too, so coverage stays even across the whole listening area.
Two-way crossover
A true two-way crossover, calculated for this size, sits inside the woofer structure. An electronic circuit protects the tweeter alongside it and limits the chance of failure.
Amplification
The M6 series is meant to be driven by a quality amplifier: for this model the suggested one delivers 25 to 150 W RMS per channel. Stated sensitivity is 89.5 dB with 1 W at 1 metre and frequency response is 55 Hz-25 kHz, within +/- 3 dB.
Installation
With the Luxe grille the outer diameter is 212 mm, mounting depth 98 mm and the cutout 172 mm: these differ from the Classic and Sport versions, so check them before cutting (Classic and Sport are 175 mm in diameter and need a 127-133 mm cutout). The grille comes off with the supplied tool. The fixing holes lie on a 188 mm circle. Terminals are fork type. Like the rest of the series, this model is made to live at sea and to cope with salt water in the long run.
