Round in-wall or in-ceiling speaker from the Soundlight series
The KEF Ci100.2QR is a round two-way flush-mount speaker from the Soundlight series, designed to blend in visually with recessed ceiling spotlights and to be as discreet as possible. Sold singly, it is fitted with a 75 mm (3") Uni-Q® driver with a 16 mm (0.6") aluminium dome tweeter with tangerine waveguide, for a frequency response from 90 Hz to 27 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) minimises the visible edge, while the paintable magnetic grille makes it easy to match any finish. The speaker is IP64 certified for environments subject to humidity, and a removable back can is available.
Uni-Q®: KEF sound quality in an ultra-compact format
The 75 mm Uni-Q® driver places the 16 mm aluminium dome tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the woofer, so that the two act as a single point source. Despite its very small size — designed to match the visual footprint of a halogen spotlight — Uni-Q® technology provides exceptionally wide sound dispersion, a distinctive feature of the KEF Soundlight series.
Micro format, surprising performance
With a sensitivity of 83 dB, a response that starts at 90 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 50 W into 4 Ω, the Ci100.2QR is the ideal choice for compact rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and secondary zones of multiroom systems. The external diameter of only 136 mm and the mounting depth of just 52 mm make it suitable even where the available space is very limited. With the optional back can the depth rises to 103 mm and the frequency response starts from 130 Hz.
Flexible in-wall or in-ceiling installation
With an external diameter of 136 mm and a depth of 57 mm, the Ci100.2QR requires a cut-out of 118 mm in diameter and fits walls and ceilings with a thickness from 6 to 22 mm. The removable back can — optional but included in the box — increases the total depth to 110 mm and the mounting depth from the surface to 103 mm, improving isolation from the cavity and low-frequency performance.
The Soundlight speaker for every zone of the system
The Ci100.2QR is designed to match recessed spotlights visually in rooms where aesthetics are a priority: living rooms, bedrooms, corridors and high-end residential spaces. The weather-resistant construction with IP64 certification also makes it suitable for humid rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens. The magnetic grille and the front panel can be painted to match any ceiling or wall colour, for almost invisible integration.
