Square Dual Stereo in-wall or in-ceiling speaker
The KEF Ci160CSds is a square Dual Stereo flush-mount speaker designed to reproduce a complete stereo image with a single speaker, ideal for all places where only one sound source can be installed. Sold singly, it is fitted with a 160 mm (6.5") woofer combined with a 19 mm (0.75") tweeter, for a frequency response from 50 Hz to 20 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) keeps the visible edge to a minimum, while the screw fixing system with moisture-resistant mounts allows safe installation even in bathrooms and exposed environments. The optional RIF160S pre-installation frame and the optional RNC160S rear enclosure complete the installation options. The round twin of this model is the Ci160CRds.
Dual Stereo: a complete stereo image from a single speaker
KEF Dual Stereo technology brings together in a single speaker all the elements needed to reproduce both stereo channels convincingly, without requiring a pair of separate speakers. It is the ideal solution for bathrooms, corridors, alcoves and any space where installing two speakers is not practicable. The square format differs from its round twin, the Ci160CRds, in being better suited to architectural settings with clean geometric lines, offering the same performance in a different shape.
High sensitivity with minimal mounting thickness
With a sensitivity of 91 dB, a response that extends down to 50 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 80 W into 8 Ω, the Ci160CSds delivers high-fidelity performance even in medium-sized rooms. The mounting depth of only 84.5 mm and the minimum compatible ceiling thickness of just 3 mm — the lowest among the models in the series — make it suitable for installations with particularly tight structural constraints.
Flexible installation with dedicated accessories
With external dimensions of 223 × 223 mm and a depth of 90.5 mm, the Ci160CSds requires a cut-out of 194 × 194 mm and fits ceilings and walls with a thickness from 3 to 30 mm. The optional RIF160S pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during construction, while the optional RNC160S rear enclosure improves the low-frequency response and the acoustic isolation from the cavity.
The square stereo solution for every space in the system
The Ci160CSds is designed for all settings where the convenience of a single installation point must not compromise stereo quality: bathrooms, corridors, kitchens, bedrooms and commercial spaces. The square format makes it the natural choice in rooms where round speakers would look out of place. It fits perfectly into the KEF Ci-C range alongside its round twin, the Ci160CRds, ensuring sonic consistency and aesthetic flexibility in every zone of the system.
