Square in-wall or in-ceiling speaker with Uni-Q® driver
The KEF Ci160QS is a square two-way flush-mount speaker designed to blend into walls and ceilings with the utmost discretion, filling the room with wide, even sound thanks to the KEF Uni-Q® driver. Sold individually, it combines a 160 mm (6.5") woofer with a 19 mm tweeter in a Uni-Q® configuration for a frequency response from 38 Hz to 34 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) frame keeps the visible edge to a minimum, ensuring flawless visual integration in any room. For those who need the rectangular format, the Ci160QL model offers the same drivers in an elongated version.
Uni-Q®: maximum sound coverage with fewer speakers
The KEF Uni-Q® driver places the 19 mm tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the 160 mm woofer, so that both act as a single point source. The result is wide, even sound dispersion throughout the room, which makes it possible to cover medium-sized rooms with fewer speakers than conventional solutions — while also optimising the perceived soundstage.
Full-range performance and installation in under two minutes
With a sensitivity of 89 dB, a response reaching down to 38 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 125 W into 8 Ω, the Ci160QS delivers rich, balanced sound suited both to background music and to more involved listening. The KEF fixing system is designed to make installation extremely quick: once the cable has been run and the hole cut, the speaker is up and running in under two minutes.
Flexible in-wall or in-ceiling installation
With external dimensions of 223 × 223 mm and a mounting depth of 91 mm, the Ci160QS fits walls and ceilings with a thickness from 3 to 30 mm. The required cut-out is 194 × 194 mm. The optional RIF160S pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during construction, while the optional RNC160S rear enclosure improves bass response and acoustic isolation from the cavity.

The Ci160QS is the ideal choice for secondary listening zones, multiroom audio distribution and medium-sized residential and commercial spaces. It integrates perfectly with the other speakers in the KEF Ci-Q series — including its rectangular twin, the Ci160QL — ensuring the same Uni-Q® sonic signature at every point of the installation.
