The KEF Q Concerto Meta is a standmount speaker designed for those looking for rich, precise and mature listening in a versatile domestic format. This model takes up the historic Concerto name and reinterprets it with a 3-way bass reflex configuration, designed to offer more accurate separation between low, mid and high frequencies. Within the design is the renowned Uni-Q array with MAT™ technology, a combination that helps achieve a cleaner, more focused and more natural soundstage, with convincing performance both in stereo and in quality home cinema systems.
Advanced technology for a broad, controlled sound
The heart of the Q Concerto Meta consists of a 19 mm vented aluminium dome tweeter with MAT™, a 100 mm aluminium midrange and a 165 mm hybrid aluminium woofer. This architecture allows a more orderly reproduction of the music, with greater vocal intelligibility, better midrange articulation and fuller, more controlled bass compared with simpler bookshelf solutions. KEF also presents it as the first 3-way bookshelf of the modern Q series, with a sonic personality capable of enhancing both music listening and more advanced use in carefully furnished homes.
Hi-fi performance in an elegant, versatile format
On the technical side, the KEF Q Concerto Meta offers a frequency response of 48 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB), an extension down to 40 Hz (-6 dB), a sensitivity of 85 dB, a nominal impedance of 4 ohm and an amplification requirement of between 15 and 180 watts. The stated maximum sound pressure level reaches 108 dB, while the available finishes are Satin Black, Satin White and Walnut. With a cabinet measuring 415 x 210 x 315 mm and a weight of 9.5 kg per speaker, it is an interesting solution for those who want a substantial bookshelf, capable of approaching compact floorstanding models in authority.
