The KEF Reference 5 Meta is the flagship floorstanding loudspeaker of the Reference series, designed to deliver sound reproduction of the very highest level.
Created to represent the benchmark among high-performance Hi-Fi loudspeakers, it combines refined construction, advanced acoustic technologies and extraordinary sonic precision.
At the heart of the design is the 12th-generation Uni-Q® array with MAT™, a proprietary KEF solution designed to improve the coherence, detail and naturalness of the sound image.
Metamaterial Absorption Technology helps to absorb the unwanted distortions coming from the rear of the tweeter, ensuring cleaner, airier and more precise high frequencies.
The Reference 5 Meta is a 3-way bass reflex loudspeaker, with four 165 mm aluminium woofers dedicated to the bass range, a 125 mm aluminium midrange and a 25 mm aluminium tweeter integrated in the Uni-Q system.
This configuration makes it possible to obtain deep bass, extremely well-defined voices and a wide, stable and perfectly focused soundstage.

Since 1973, the KEF Reference series has represented a benchmark standard for high-fidelity sound reproduction.
Each pair of loudspeakers is made to extremely tight tolerances, with a matching precision within 0.5 dB of the reference standard maintained in the laboratory.
The KEF Reference 5 Meta is designed, engineered and assembled in Maidstone, Kent, KEF's historic home since 1961.
