Extended-range audiophile subwoofer for music and cinema
Lyngdorf BW-2 is not a traditional subwoofer, but a true wide-frequency-range woofer designed to reproduce music with precision, speed and absolute control. Intended for high-level hi-fi and home cinema applications, BW-2 was created with a clear philosophy: to follow the signal with absolute fidelity, without being limited to low frequencies alone. The result is an audiophile subwoofer that integrates perfectly with compact speakers and reference systems.
Extended range up to 800 Hz: a revolutionary concept
Unlike conventional subwoofers, usually limited to around 120 Hz, BW-2 can operate up to 800 Hz in bypass mode. This means it works not only as bass reinforcement, but as a natural extension of the main woofers, improving impact, dynamics and tonal coherence. In the standard “Line In” configuration it covers the 25–200 Hz range instead, offering all the classic controls for level, crossover frequency and phase for easy integration with any amplifier or processor.
Controlled power and discreet integration
At the heart of the BW-2 is a 400 W Class D amplifier, developed by Lyngdorf on the basis of over 15 years of experience in designing high-efficiency audiophile electronics. The 10” long-throw driver with an anodised aluminium cone and vented magnet delivers deep, fast and always controlled bass, even at high volumes. The sealed cabinet in MDF, compact and elegant, allows vertical or horizontal placement, with gloss black or matt white finishes, ideal for modern rooms and refined installations.
