Lyngdorf FR-1 is a 2-way full-range on-wall speaker designed to bring audiophile performance to a compact, slim and elegant format. Created for modern home installations, the FR-1 combines high dynamics, natural timbre and surprising bass extension, all housed in a shallow cabinet that can be hung like a picture. Despite its modest size, it is a true hi-fi speaker, intended for high-level music listening and refined multimedia systems.
Deep bass without a subwoofer
The strength of the FR-1 is its ability to deliver authoritative bass without the use of a subwoofer. The design features a high-performance 6.5” aluminium driver alongside an internal 8” slave unit, which suppresses resonances and improves low-frequency extension. The result is a sound that is tight, controlled and surprisingly deep for an on-wall speaker, with open voices, fast transients and great tonal coherence, ideal for high-end stereo or home cinema installations.
Designed to play loud and for a long time
Every component of the Lyngdorf FR-1 has been developed to ensure reliability and high performance even at high volumes. The fabric soft-dome tweeter, derived from Lyngdorf’s reference models, features PTC protection, while the midrange/woofer uses a 35 mm voice coil with materials resistant to high temperatures. The vented magnet and the reinforced MDF structure ensure thermal control and mechanical stability. The FR-1 is supplied with a wall-mounting bracket and is prepared for alternative mounts, offering maximum installation flexibility.
