MartinLogan ML-75AW

The largest of the AW outdoor speakers: a two-way sealed design with a 190 mm woofer and a titanium dome tweeter, with 93 dB sensitivity to cover wide open spaces. Supplied as a pair, in several finishes.

ML-75AW: what is inside

The ML-75AW is the model to pick when the area to cover is large or listeners sit far from the speakers, as beside a pool or in a deep garden. Its 190 mm woofer takes response down to 75 Hz and the 93 dB sensitivity is the highest in the range: for the same power it plays louder than its smaller siblings, and it handles up to 160 W per channel. The 25 mm titanium tweeter comes in at 2,300 Hz.

Cabinet volume grows accordingly: almost 32 centimetres on the longest side and 4.8 kg in weight, worth bearing in mind when choosing where to fix it. The U-bracket in stainless steel and polymer holds it on a wall or ceiling and allows it to rotate. A closed box with mineral filler, a loaded polypropylene cone, an aluminium grille treated against water and UV, brass fixings and gold-plated terminals complete the specification.
