Nordost White Lightning 3 Speaker Cable

Nordost White Lightning 3: the flat speaker cable that opens the Leif series

White Lightning 3 is the entry-level speaker cable in the Nordost catalogue. Like every loudspeaker cable from the brand it has a flat structure: the conductors run side by side, at a constant distance, to keep resistance, inductance and capacitance low all at once, three needs that work against each other in traditional geometries.

The cable uses 12 solid-core OFC conductors plated in silver, each of 24 AWG, covered in FEP through an extrusion process that improves their dielectric properties. It links the amplifier to the speakers and, according to the manufacturer, adds drive and dynamic realism to playback.

Technical features

• Conductors: 12 solid-core wires of 24 AWG
• Material: OFC copper, 99.9999% pure, plated in silver
• Insulation: FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene)
• Flat construction with mechanically tuned spacing
• Capacitance: 19.9 pF per metre
• Inductance: 0.70 μH per metre
• Speed of propagation: 90% of the speed of light
• Gold-plated connectors: Z-plug banana or spade

Available versions

The cable is sold as a pair, in a mono wiring configuration, in lengths of 2 m, 2.5 m, 3 m and 4 m. For each length you can choose banana or spade termination.
