A stereo/mono in-ceiling speaker: one 165 mm woofer and two 19 mm tweeters reproduce the left and right channels from a single point. Offered as a pair, it serves rooms where two separate speakers will not fit.
CI Home H65-SM v2: stereo from one cut-out
The CI Home H65-SM v2 is made for corridors, entrance halls, dressing rooms and small spaces in general where a stereo pair would make little sense. Its two tweeters, one per channel, use what Paradigm calls Dual Directional Soundfield to spread the sound more widely than an ordinary round speaker. It can be wired in stereo, with an amplifier of 15 to 40 W per channel, or in mono with 15 to 80 W. On axis it covers 70 Hz to 20 kHz within ±2 dB and reaches down to 52 Hz.
Both tweeters have the perforated PPA lens, which guards the dome and acts as a phase plug: it blocks out-of-phase frequencies, making the treble more linear and extended, with more output. They are damped and cooled with ferrofluid. The woofer uses a mineral-loaded polypropylene cone, a high-power motor and a generous, computer-optimised ferrite magnet.
Cut-out and overall size match those of the round two-driver model of the same diameter, so the two can be mixed in one house without changing template. The screws run in recessed seats that keep the drill steady, and the rigid ABS clamps grip the ceiling on both sides of the opening, removing resonances. The micro-perforated grille has no border, stays put thanks to neodymium magnets and can be painted.
