The Decor 2S v2 is not a single bar but a system of two slim speakers, one for the left channel and one for the right. Paradigm builds them to order in the length requested, so that they suit the proportions of the screen; this is the version for televisions from 43 to 67 inches, which across its two cabinets has two tweeters and four bass/midrange units. In its longest sizes the model goes up to 7 drive units in each cabinet.
The drive units come from the reworked acoustic platform of the Decor v2 range. Each of the two tweeters uses a 25 mm X-PAL dome of pure aluminium with a satin-anodised finish, damped and cooled by ferrofluid. In front of it sits the perforated PPA lens, which shields the dome and brings its output into phase for extra detail and level at the top end. The 114 mm bass/midrange units, four of them in this version across the two cabinets, have one-piece anodised aluminium cones on nitrile rubber surrounds and 38 mm voice coils rated for high temperatures. A second-order electro-acoustic crossover hands over between them at 3.3 kHz.
The sealed cabinet is an aluminium extrusion with an aluminium baffle, 132 mm high and 66 mm deep, while the length is whatever is fixed at the time of ordering for a screen of 43 to 67 inches. The terminals are angled and set back into the enclosure, and a built-in channel routes the cable without trapping it, so the speakers sit almost flush against the wall. The grille specified for this model is perforated aluminium and stays fixed in place: it is the option Paradigm also intends for outdoor use, whereas acoustic cloth is the range's choice for indoors.
On axis the response runs from 130 Hz to 21 kHz within ±3 dB and, at 30° off axis, from 130 Hz to 17 kHz; the stated low-frequency limit is 80 Hz. Sensitivity is 92 dB in room (89 dB anechoic) and every channel suits 8 ohm amplifiers. Paradigm suggests amplifiers of 15 to 130 W, with 150 W as the most the speaker should be fed.
