A two-way outdoor satellite built around a 100 mm woofer, designed for Garden Oasis systems spread around a garden, under the eaves or along a deck and rounded out by one of the range's buried subwoofers.
GO4: what is inside
The GO4 is a sealed PolyGlass enclosure, made to cope with weather, water and UV light, housing two drive units. Its 100 mm woofer has a cone of polypropylene loaded with minerals and an NBR rubber surround; above 2.5 kHz a 19 mm X-PAL dome tweeter takes over, damped and cooled by ferrofluid. The tweeter sits in a RED (Reduced Edge Diffraction) housing with uneven edges, mounted away from the centre: the shape is there to disrupt standing waves and cut diffraction, which helps the midrange even in open air. The die-cast front plate doubles as a heat sink.
Mounting relies on the threaded Quick Twist Cap fitting, shared by the three supports the range provides: a stake for the ground, a buried conduit box that shields the cable, and a surface bracket for decking and walls. The satellite can therefore be planted in soil, fixed to a railing, hung in a tree or tucked beneath the eaves, with the position chosen according to the coverage required.
A rotary switch at the back moves the speaker from 8 ohm operation to a 70 or 100 V line. Garden Oasis is modular: begin with a few satellites plus a subwoofer and add units when needed. With an on-axis response of 135 Hz to 20 kHz within ±3 dB, the GO4 leaves low notes to the subwoofer. Any 8 ohm amplifier between 15 and 120 W will do, and Paradigm supplies a table for setting the voltage taps according to speaker count and cable run.
