Paradigm MilleniaOne 1.0

A two-way mini speaker with a die-cast aluminium cabinet and reflex loading, sold singly and complete with a tabletop stand and a wall bracket: for stereo and home cinema where space is tight.

MilleniaOne 1.0: cabinet and drivers

The MilleniaOne 1.0 is a satellite 19.7 cm tall, 11.4 cm wide and 14.6 cm deep, yet it weighs 2.45 kg: the cabinet is not plastic but a die-cast aluminium shell in which front panel and chassis form one piece. It is reflex loaded, and the grilles are shaped to cut diffraction, so that imaging stays clean and dispersion remains even.

Both drive units use S-PAL diaphragms, meaning satin-anodised pure aluminium: a 25 mm dome for high frequencies and a 102 mm unit for midrange and bass. Using one material across both ways is a choice in keeping with the metal cabinet. The filter that divides them is a third-order electro-acoustic crossover working at 2.2 kHz.

On-axis response is quoted within ±2 dB between 120 Hz and 20 kHz, and at 30° off axis it keeps to that tolerance up to 18 kHz; bass extension is 76 Hz (DIN). Sensitivity is 89 dB in room (86 dB anechoic), the load is 8 ohm compatible and suitable amplifiers run from 15 to 100 W, with a 50 W maximum input. Both the stands for shelf or table use and the brackets for wall fixing come in the box, and the model is offered in more than one finish.
