A powered sealed subwoofer with six 203 mm X-PAL woofers set around a hexagonal cabinet, 1700 W continuous and ARC room correction. It follows the look of the Persona series and reaches down to 12 Hz.
Persona Sub: six woofers in a hexagonal cabinet
Persona Sub gives the job to six 203 mm woofers in place of a single large cone, fitted to the faces of a cabinet with a hexagonal footprint. The layout is there to cancel vibration: the mechanical forces of the drive units offset one another and the cabinet stays still even at high levels. Loading is sealed, and the built-in amplification delivers 1700 W continuous, with 3400 W on peaks.
Each woofer has a high-excursion X-PAL cone with an overmoulded ART surround, a 38 mm four-layer long-throw voice coil wound on a high-temperature Nomex composite former, and a hard ferrite magnet weighing 4.16 kg. Stated response is 19 - 220 Hz within ±2 dB with the filter bypassed, or 15 - 235 Hz within ±3 dB, and bass extension reaches 12 Hz.
The low-pass filter adjusts between 35 and 150 Hz and can be bypassed when the processor handles the crossover; phase is continuously variable across 0 to 180 degrees. Inputs are RCA (10 kohm) and XLR (20 kohm), with 100 mV mono sensitivity. Anthem Room Correction, with a calibrated microphone in the box, measures the room and adapts the response to the chosen position. The cabinet measures 52.5 × 51.2 × 48 cm and weighs 53.6 kg.
