The easier-to-integrate Reference centre: twin HPF woofers and a silk DPC Array
Perlisten R5c is a 3-way acoustic-suspension centre speaker with a three-dome 26 mm silk DPC Array and two 165 mm HPF woofers.
R5c concentrates R-Series voicing into a centre speaker far more compact than R7c. It is designed for natural dialogue, low distortion and cinema dynamics, but with a cabinet that can sit on an optional stand or be wall-mounted using the dedicated bracket.
Key features
- 3-way Reference R-Series centre speaker.
- DPC Array with three 26 mm silk domes.
- Two 165 mm HPF woofers.
- Acoustic-suspension cabinet.
- 88.6 dB sensitivity and 4-ohm nominal impedance.
- Frequency response extending to 49 Hz-32 kHz (-10 dB).
- Recommended amplifier power from 100 to 250 W RMS.
- THX Dominus and THX Ultra certification.
The centre for most R-Series systems
R5c uses two 165 mm woofers in a sealed cabinet, providing an easier balance between performance and size. It can partner R5t, R5m or R4b while maintaining R-Series tonal character and enough dynamic capability for high-performance home cinema.
Silk DPC Array and HPF woofers
Three 26 mm silk domes handle the mid/high region while the two woofers use HPF material. This combination defines Reference Series against Signature: less exotic than Beryllium/Textreme TPCD, but engineered to preserve controlled dispersion and low coloration.
Stand or wall installation
R5c can be placed on an optional stand or wall-mounted using the dedicated tilt/swivel bracket. Acoustic suspension helps in both situations because there is no rear reflex port that needs open space behind the loudspeaker.
Dimensions and performance
The cabinet measures 550 mm wide, 240 mm high and 270 mm deep and weighs 15 kg. Response reaches 49 Hz at -10 dB, with 88.6 dB sensitivity and recommended amplifier power up to 250 W RMS.
