R7i-LR: four Reference woofers for a large-room front stage
The R7i-LR is the main R-Series in-wall speaker, intended for left and right channels where distance and screen size require more scale than the R5i-LR.
Its vertical configuration combines four HPF woofers with three silk domes in the DPC Array. It serves substantial media rooms and dedicated cinemas requiring controlled directivity and high level without moving to the S Series' Textreme and Beryllium materials.

Why it is the Reference in-wall flagship
Four 165 mm woofers spread demand along an enclosure just over one metre tall. This area preserves dynamics over longer distances and reduces reliance on extreme excursion from one transducer. The R5i-LR remains more practical in medium rooms; the R7i-LR is for a front stage serving a larger screen and volume.
Silk and HPF define the R Series
Three 26 mm silk domes are chosen for smooth voice and treble, while HPF diaphragms serve the Reference bass section. The difference from the S7i-LR is not cosmetic: Signature uses Beryllium, Textreme TPCD and greater power, whereas the R7i-LR targets a more accessible balance.
The Reference back box in full
An integral aluminium rear cabinet creates a repeatable sealed volume, limits energy reaching the room behind and produces a total depth of 120.8 mm. Quick dogs speed fastening to the structure and the white magnetic grille can be painted. Wall design must still account for 23.1 kg, stud positions and cable routes.
LR versus the R7i-C centre
Drivers and capacity are almost mirrored, but orientation decides function. The R7i-LR rises vertically beside the screen to form stereo image and location. The R7i-C extends horizontally to place voices at the centre. Together they create a uniform front; selecting them only by the available opening ignores their acoustic job.
