Perlisten S7t: the four-way Signature reference
Four-way S-Series floorstanding speaker with a Beryllium and Textreme TPCD DPC Array, four 180 mm woofers and THX Dominus certification.
S7t is the reference model in the Signature S-Series, a tower for high-end stereo and large-scale home cinema. Its design combines controlled dispersion, four 180 mm woofers and bass extension that can reach 16 Hz in-room in bass reflex mode, together with high sensitivity and substantial dynamic headroom.
Key features
- Four-way system configurable as bass reflex or acoustic suspension
- DPC Array with 28 mm Beryllium tweeter and two 28 mm Textreme TPCD midrange domes
- Four 180 mm woofers with Textreme TPCD diaphragms
- 92.2 dB sensitivity, 4-ohm nominal impedance and 3.2-ohm minimum
- Recommended amplifier power from 100 to 600 W RMS
- THX Dominus certification and stated 117 dB peak capability
Signature S-Series: uncompromised materials
The S-Series differs from Reference primarily in its transducers. S7t uses a Beryllium tweeter, two 28 mm Textreme TPCD midrange domes and four 180 mm woofers in the same composite; R-Series models use 26 mm silk domes and 165 mm HPF woofers. Those materials define its Signature position.
DPC Array: directivity becomes part of the design
The DPC Array groups the Beryllium tweeter and two Textreme TPCD midrange domes in a waveguide lens controlling horizontal and vertical dispersion. Its geometry was developed through acoustic modelling to produce more uniform room energy. Using the same array across S-Series models also preserves timbre consistency in multichannel systems.
Four TPCD woofers and two enclosure alignments
The four 180 mm woofers use light, rigid Textreme TPCD diaphragms. The ports can operate in bass reflex mode or be plugged for acoustic suspension. The -10 dB low-frequency point changes from 22 to 32 Hz, while typical in-room extension is 16 and 23 Hz respectively, allowing bass behaviour to be adapted to the room.
Dynamics, load and amplification
With 92.2 dB sensitivity and a 4-ohm nominal impedance, S7t combines useful efficiency with substantial power handling. Perlisten recommends 100-600 W RMS and states 117 dB peak capability from 100 Hz to 20 kHz with low distortion, providing headroom for large rooms and ambitious listening levels.
THX Dominus for reference stereo and cinema
THX Dominus is the most demanding THX class for large domestic spaces. On S7t, high output, low distortion and controlled directivity support both cinema and stereo reproduction. In a multichannel installation, the shared DPC Array also makes tonal matching with S-Series centre and surround speakers easier.
Dimensions, weight and finishes
The cabinet measures 240 x 1295 x 400 mm as W x H x D and weighs 55.7 kg. Its front remains relatively narrow for the height, while mass and depth provide the volume required by four woofers. Standard finishes are Piano Black and Gloss White, with special wood and custom options also available.
Designed to sit at the top of the system
S7t is intended for systems where the front pair must handle serious music and cinema without changing design philosophy. Bass extension can reduce reliance on a subwoofer for stereo, while a cinema sub can focus on the deepest effects. The step above Reference remains the Signature platform: Beryllium, Textreme TPCD and greater dynamic capacity.
