Reserve R200: a fuller bookshelf speaker
The bookshelf pair adds 6.5" woofers and deeper cabinets compared with the R100.
The pair of Polk Audio Reserve R200 speakers suits a stereo system on stands or a home cinema front stage without floorstanders. In each speaker, a 1" Pinnacle Ring Radiator tweeter works with a 6.5" Turbine Cone woofer. Its larger driver than the R100 has more radiating area and accompanies a lower stated bass response.
The cabinet is 359 mm high, 190 mm wide and 353.8 mm deep: account for that depth before placing it on a shelf. These are passive speakers, connected to an amplifier or AV receiver with speaker cable.

A bookshelf model for the main channels
The rear X-Port incorporates resonators to reduce unwanted port resonances. The stated overall response is 39 Hz-50 kHz, with -3 dB limits of 51 Hz-38 kHz; the R100 reaches 58 Hz at its lower -3 dB limit. This distinction helps when balancing cabinet size against bass output.
Single five-way binding posts make connection straightforward, while rubber pads support the cabinet. Its deeper cabinet makes a stand with easy access to the rear connections a practical choice. A subwoofer can take over the lowest film effects while this pair remains the main stereo or front channel speaker.
Dedicated stands leave the R200 independent of a television cabinet. If you prefer shelves, do not enclose the rear of the speaker: its port needs practical clearance from surrounding furniture.
