Reserve R700: three ways, dedicated bass
The pair of three-way towers separates the midrange from two 8" bass drivers.
The pair of Polk Audio Reserve R700 speakers is designed for a stereo or home cinema front stage with room for substantial towers. Each speaker uses a 1" Pinnacle Ring Radiator tweeter, a 6.5" Turbine Cone midrange driver and two 8" polypropylene woofers. It is a three-way layout with dedicated bass drivers, unlike the R500 and R600.
Including the feet, each tower measures 320.7 x 1143.8 x 428.3 mm and weighs 35.9 kg. Consider floor space, handling and stability before choosing; spikes and pads are provided. The midrange chamber is sealed, while the woofer section uses a downward-firing Power Port with X-Port.

A larger-scale front stage
The R600 uses two 6.5" Turbine Cone drivers for its mid-bass section and one set of terminals. The R700 adds two 8" woofers and dual five-way binding posts, allowing appropriate wiring arrangements after removing the jumpers. Stated overall response is 30 Hz-50 kHz, with -3 dB limits of 38 Hz-38 kHz.
Given the weight of each tower, plan the position and cable route before moving it into place. The R700 can form a stereo pair or work with a Reserve centre and subwoofer in a multichannel system. Compatible R900 height modules, available separately, add height channels.
Dual terminals do not require special wiring for a standard single-cable connection: keep the factory jumpers in place and follow the connection instructions for your amplifier.
