new birthday is the first album by Post Scriptum Jazz, a quintet of young musicians from Belarus.
New birthday: the album
The group was founded in 2012 by saxophonist Kyril Matsenka; the others are pianist Alexey Kazak, drummer Alexey Maksimov, bassist Pawel Orlow and guitarist Eugene Ryshkevich. They play their own compositions, between Latin American music, classical, soul and fusion.
The recording was made at Everest Media studio in Minsk and mixed in stereo and immersive audio by Kseniya Kawko, who produced and engineered it; the immersive mastering is by msm studios in Munich. The edition was released by Immersive Sound Art in 2022.

The multichannel mix on the horizontal plane: the stage opens beyond the two front speakers and brings in the surrounds.

The object-based immersive mix: sounds can also be placed above the listener, using height speakers.

The layered immersive format: it adds a layer of height speakers to the surround channels.
