A limited, all-white edition of the T1 belt-drive turntable: a solid plinth in a satin finish, an 8.6-inch aluminium arm that is white as well, and a moving-magnet Pick it 2M White cartridge fitted and set up.
T1 EVO White Edition: the limited edition
The White Edition dresses every visible part of the T1 in white, the arm included, and swaps the standard cartridge for the Pick it 2M White. Beneath the finish the construction is that of the original design: the plinth is CNC-machined from a solid panel, with no internal voids where vibration could arise, and rests on feet that absorb whatever comes up from the furniture. The dust cover has adjustable hinges and is included.
A belt links the motor to an anti-resonant sub-platter, carried by a precision bearing held to a 0.001 mm tolerance and made of a hardened steel shaft with a brass sleeve. According to the official sheet for this edition the platter is steel and weighs 1.3 kg, with a felt mat to protect records, and switching between 33 and 45 rpm is manual. The power supply is built into the deck.
The straight arm is made as one piece of stiff aluminium and pivots on low-friction bearings. Its headshell is integral with the tube, so no screwed or glued joints are there to introduce vibration. The Pick it 2M White is a moving-magnet cartridge with an elliptical diamond tip, set at the factory to 17.5 mN. Connection to the amplifier is by a semi-balanced phono lead, heavily shielded and low in capacitance, designed by the manufacturer.
