The angled Reference surround that preserves series voicing on side and rear walls
Perlisten R4s is a 3-way acoustic-suspension surround with a 26 mm silk DPC Array, 165 mm HPF woofer and angled cabinet for wall installation.
R4s completes R-Series surround channels without simplifying materials or directivity targets. Its angled cabinet and included flush-mount bracket simplify side or rear-wall installation, while the same DPC/HPF platform maintains tonal continuity with Reference towers, monitors and centre speakers.
Key features
- 3-way Reference R-Series surround.
- DPC Array with three 26 mm silk domes.
- 165 mm HPF woofer.
- Angled acoustic-suspension cabinet.
- 86.5 dB sensitivity and 4-ohm nominal impedance.
- Frequency response extending to 48 Hz-32 kHz (-10 dB).
- Recommended amplifier power from 50 to 200 W RMS.
- THX Ultra certification.
Designed for the wall rather than adapted later
R4s is built around an angled cabinet and can use the included flush-mount bracket or the optional tilt/swivel bracket. Its geometry aims output towards the listening area without requiring a stand-mounted loudspeaker projecting into the room.
Timbre matching across R-Series
The three-dome 26 mm silk DPC Array and 165 mm HPF woofer use the same material platform as the main Reference models. That allows effects to move from the front stage into the surrounds without an obvious change in tonal character, especially important in immersive mixes.
Even power response in 2π and 4π
The design is optimised for smooth power response both near a wall and in less boundary-dominated conditions. Rated response reaches 48 Hz at -10 dB and typical in-room extension is 42 Hz, with stated peak capability of 109.5 dB.
Dimensions and mounting hardware
R4s measures 230 mm wide, 378 mm high and 173 mm deep and weighs 9.5 kg. A flush wall bracket is included, while the tilt/swivel bracket remains optional for installations requiring greater aiming flexibility.
