Sealed 10-inch bass with 300 watts RMS in a compact cabinet
MK Sound V10+ is a sealed active subwoofer with a 10-inch long-throw driver, 24-200 Hz response and a 300 W RMS / 600 W peak amplifier.
The V+ Series combines a single long-throw woofer, sealed enclosure and switch-mode amplification in a footprint suited to living spaces. V10+ measures 34.5 x 34.5 x 34.5 cm and weighs 15.4 kg; the curved, tapered housing reduces visual impact without using a reflex port.
Key features
- 10-inch long-throw driver.
- 300 W RMS / 600 W peak amplifier.
- 24-200 Hz response.
- Sealed enclosure.
- Panel-adjustable crossover and phase.
- Headroom Limiter Maximizer and automatic power-on.
- Black o White Satin finish.
Design and drivers
The single 10-inch woofer works in a sealed enclosure to prioritise transient control and eliminate port noise. Long excursion moves substantial air from a compact cabinet, while the sealed alignment also supports a progressive blend with the main loudspeakers.
Amplification and performance
The power stage delivers 300 W RMS and 600 W peak. Headroom Limiter Maximizer dynamically supervises excursion and available headroom, helping film and music transients remain controlled when programme material demands sudden low-frequency energy.
System integration
Rated response is 24-200 Hz; the subwoofer can reproduce LFE in home cinema or extend low frequencies in a stereo system, with crossover and level set to match the main speakers.
Controls and connections
V10+ uses conventional low-pass, phase and level controls with RCA line-level input/output. Automatic power-on reduces manual intervention and keeps the subwoofer ready when a signal arrives.
Construction and installation
The cabinet is sealed, with rounded lines and a square front; the available finish is Black o White Satin. Feet and power cable complete installation, while the 15.4 kg mass helps keep the enclosure stable during high-excursion passages. The design remains consistent with the MK Sound satellite/subwoofer philosophy, separating deep bass from the monitor workload to reduce interference and preserve clarity through the mid and high frequencies.
