SVS PB-3000 R|Evolution

SVS PB-3000 R|Evolution: the 13-inch ported subwoofer with a 1200 W amplifier

A powered subwoofer with two ports, the PB-3000 R|Evolution belongs to the SVS 3000 R|Evolution series and is intended for music, home theater and gaming. The forward-facing 13-inch driver has a vented cone in 1100 aluminum, a long-throw SBR surround and a motor with two toroidal ferrite magnets. Driving it is the STA-1200D2 amplifier, a Class D design with discrete MOSFETs.

The cabinet is MDF with internal bracing. The two ports can be closed with the two foam plugs supplied, switching from the standard tuning to the sealed one. Processing is handled by a 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP with 56-bit filters. The SVS app, connected over Bluetooth, adjusts phase, polarity, volume, the low-pass filter and six parametric EQ bands, with three memories; the SVS Auto EQ room correction uses the phone microphone.
