The Barco Balder CinemaScope is a home cinema projector designed for dedicated environments that require a native 21:9 aspect ratio without the use of external anamorphic lenses. Based on 3-chip DLP® technology with 5K UHD 5120 × 2160 resolution, it uses a highly efficient laser phosphor light source to ensure stable brightness, image uniformity and high color accuracy. The three 0.9” DMDs ensure true detail and image stability, eliminating the artifacts typical of single-chip systems. Thanks to the platform derived from professional digital cinema, it offers DCI-P3 color space coverage and support for HDR10 / HLG content, ensuring an immersive cinematic experience on widescreen displays.

Brightness and contrast optimized for 21:9 screens

The laser phosphor projection system allows the Balder CinemaScope to reach up to approximately 6,500 lumens , making it ideal for medium to large CinemaScope screens. Dynamic Laser Dimming technology improves dynamic contrast scene by scene, increasing image depth and three-dimensionality. Proprietary video processing precisely manages HDR tone mapping , with 12-bit color processing and advanced scaling. Interchangeable TLD+ professional lenses offer maximum installation flexibility, adapting to different projection distances.
