The ARMODYNAMIC™ driver with ZYLON™ technology
The ARMODYNAMIC™ driver, whose name derives from the Italian word «armonia»,
was developed specifically for the YH-C3000. It uses a diaphragm formed in a
three-layer structure with composite materials such as paper and resin, and
includes ZYLON™ PBO fibre, the same material used in the diaphragms of Yamaha's
flagship Hi-Fi speakers.
Newly designed driver unit
The rear venting and the patented Y-shaped reinforced mesh damper deliver
extraordinary clarity and minimal distortion, while maintaining low-frequency
volume. The pure iron core improves the speed of the sound response and the
power of transients.
Wooden housing
The housings are made from high-quality beech, the same wood used in Yamaha
grand pianos. Light, highly rigid and capable of producing a natural,
uncoloured sound, beech makes full use of the ARMODYNAMIC™ driver's
potential.
Refined craftsmanship
During the finishing stage, artisans sand, lacquer and polish multiple
layers with care over an extended period, achieving a beautiful mirror-black
finish worthy of a fine musical instrument, while preserving partial
transparency and the natural grain of the wood beneath.
Handmade
All the components of the YH-C3000 are extremely delicate, and their
production demands an exceptionally high level of technical skill and
precision. For this reason the model is built at Yamaha's factory in Japan, the
same one that produces flagship grand pianos.
Comfort
The headband inherits the structure of the YH-5000SE and consists of a solid
stainless steel arm with optimised clamping pressure. Combined with a light
330-gram body and the angled rotation mechanism, it ensures comfortable
listening even over extended periods.
Ear pads
The materials in contact with the ear are high-quality silk protein-based
leather with memory foam padding. The deep red mesh inner lining completes the
mirror-black finish of the housings.
Supplied accessories
Two-metre unbalanced cable in silver-plated OFC, ear pads in silk
protein-based leather, microfibre cleaning cloth and CCS-5000 semi-rigid case
for transport.
